The Downeast brass sounded great on TV this morning. Who was the other trp.player? It wasn't your regular player.
You guys sounded great at the Tim sample Concert!
Wow! You guys have a busy summer coming up.
Great concert @UMA :) You have no idea how much I enjoy your music.....I really think a tribute to Louis Armstrong would be something to consider
Nice website! Great concert at University of Maine last week.I'm glad I went.
I like your website. Great pictures. Go Bulldogs!
Just saw your show on LRTV taped at Deertrees Theatre, Harrison 2004. You were wonderful! Incredibly talented, program was so varied and just our kind of music. Hope to see your 2006 schedule so we can go see you live! Fantastic show!
Oops! Guess I need to put in a comment. How goes it guys? It's been a long time since the days of the Manchester Brass - a good time was had by all there. Heard from Dwight a little while ago - great to catch up with goings-on up there in Maine. I was just in Augusta on Saturday and thought of you all (I was even having memories of SoundTrack). Looks like things are going great with your new (or new-ish) band. Kudos to you all. I miss playing with you. I'm no longer teaching but still playing. Check us out at www.stagedoorcanteen.net. Maybe someday our paths will cross and I'll catch a gig. Good luck!!
Great Job at KV!!! Good arranging by Mr.Tibbets and awesome playing. Hope to see ya again. -William Qualey PS: I play trumpet.

Hey everybody at Downeast Brass! Umm...I was at the KV concert that you performed at..I just wanted to say that your concert was really good because it was actually really interesting unlike some other concerts I have been to! I just wanted to say that Mr. Fields was REALLY funny and Mr. Tibbets did such a good job arranging. ~Ellen Daily!~ p.s. tell Mr. Forrester I say Hi!!! I play clarinet in MMYO! haha you were awesome Mr. Forrester!
It was great to catch up with you. Impressive Web page.
Love the web site. We'll need to review schedule more often to make sure we attend.
It is great to learn about you! Thank you for writing.
I heard y'all's Christmas album and it was awesome! I hope to see you guys peform someday, maybe at Hallowell Old Home Days. Brother Fields is an awesome guy! The rest of you best keep him in line! Looking forward to hearing a live show. If y'all take requests at the next event, I'll be sure to request an old tune from my roots- Dixie! You all have a fine day and good luck this summer!
You are all so wonderful!! Mr. Tibbetts you are my rolemodel.
It's wonderful to have your site up again! Thank you for the work you've done. It's my default screen because it has no irritating pop-ups with it!! See you this summer... Mum Fields
Patterns of color splashing the ever ruby waves of love once again. What? I hear your voices speaking arrangements of Grieg. Fields of Fields' running through my mind so much that I am exhausted. Come sweet release? - Y
WOW! It's great to be able to get your web-site again! It's my IExp. default web-page; I missed it! God's best to all of you!
Hello Downeast Brass! I thoroughly enjoyed your concert in Brunswick last Wednesday, even with the train and firetrucks, nice touch. My family and I visit Small Point Maine every summer(we're from Escanaba, MI, in the Upper Peninsula) and I am always on the lookout for brass or good old band music performances, much to the chagrin of my family. I belong to a brass quintet that we call the Attic Brass. None of us are musicians by training (we have a nurse,a millwright, a forester, a mathematician and me, a family doc) About 8 years ago we decided to literally pull our instruments out of our attics and began playing for fun and now people actually want us for parties and weddings, etc. I would say our average length of time for not playing our horns was 20 years (college, careers and families seemed to take precedence for those years.) So to say the least, we really have a blast playing, and do it as much as we can. So when I heard you were performing I was thrilled. I am always
Dear Downeast Brass, I loved to hear your songs. My brother and I enjoyed the concert in Brunswick. My favorite tune was "In the Mood". It was a pleasure to hear you all play. You five work together well.
I was at Brunswick Music on the Mall Wednesday, 8/4, and saw you play. Sorry about the train and fire engines. I am a graduate of SP High, class of '59, so when they said John Furman is in the music department there, I wanted to write and thank you for the fun time. The folks really seemed to enjoy, too bad they didn't get up and polka around for you. Hope you come up again. margaret
Hi, Loren and All, I'm supervising Terra Nova tests in Japan, and thought I'd see what's new on the site... it's more fun than bringing something to read :-) I am impressed and proud of all of you; I respect you as fellow musicians, and look forward to hearing you again in Summer 2004!! Love to all Mum Fields
You have a great band
I really enjoyed your mixture of serious and fun music at Jewett Hall. It was a well balanced program, with something for everyone.
Hi, its Sean. The student from UMA. I was talking to you guys as you were "tearing down" after your gig on Jan 16. I like your web site. I was looking at your music Repertoire and I didn't see Mendelssohn's "Wedding March." Is it possible that a arrangement could be arranged for the quintet?
My wife and I enjoyed your concert at Jewett Hall in UMA tonight very much! Your music definitely warmed things up for us (after all the cold weather we've had lately)! Keep up your great sounds of wonderful music!
Woops..scratch that last entry..meant to say "Sorry to exclude the other guys(bone/trumpet) I don't know you guys." Anyway, ROCK ON! -Wayne
I havn't had a chance to see you folks yet, but I know the work of Mr. Tibbets, Loren Fields, and Mark Mumme..three top class, inspiarational musicians together in one place(sorry to exclude the trumpet players, I don't know you guys!) The page looks great! Keep up the awesome work..and best of luck to a top notch quintet!! -Wayne Clarke
It is so we came upon your open air Victorian style concert. We listened outside and shyly entered the concert area. We love your harmony and style. However our room in Bangor was not to wait for our vagrancy and we had to leave early to insure no wayward bound tourist would take it. So it is with regret we left your concert. We sure hope you forgive us. Good luck and thank you for uplifting our ride back. Jean-Louis Frenette

Dwight, Nice article on this web site. Make sure that you bring a recording of your brass quintet group to ABC this Summer. I would love to hear the group. Looking forward to seeing you in June. If you have any questions, give me a call at the 800 number. See you soon! Scott
"Hello" to all of you; Back in Japan now I've downloaded all your cuts to my Desktop, following the web-site suggestions. It's great! Thanks! (Downloadable videos next??) Love, Mum Fields
Your Christmas music at the Governor's Blaine House Mansion was stunning. The Downeast Brass was the absolutely perfect group for that auspicious occasion. We are very lucky to be able to listen to musicians of your professional quality. You are the sound for the season. Thank you!
I am anxious to hear the Downeast Brass (as a biased listener!)
This is the webmaster. I created the Downeast Brass website and I also heard them at Mt. Washington.
YOU GUYS WERE GREAT!!!
Being a musician myself, I must say I was very impressed with the performances you guys presented.
KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB!!!
Greetings from Down-Under! Australia is beautiful... Sydney needs you to play in the Concert Hall at the Opera House! I really did enjoy listening to you at the "cottage" last summer. And, you manage to make fine musicianship sound easy and enjoyable. Best always! Loren's Mum
